Röyksopp announce Profound Mysteries II project with first two tracks
Röyksopp are back with news of their Profound Mysteries II project, less than two months on from the release of the first instalment, and have shared new songs "Unity" and "Sorry" to accompany the announcement.
After releasing Profound Mysteries in late April, the Norwegian duo surprised fans with a Jamie Irrepressible collaboration titled "Sorry" yesterday (14 June), and have unveiled a second track titled "Unity" today which features Karen Harding. Both tracks will appear on their forthcoming project, Profound Mysteries II.
Harding said of the new collaboration, "Truly honoured to be working with Röyksopp, I'm a fan and have always loved the way they perform their music. "Unity" is such a special record that builds with an intensity that I crave in music, this helped with the vocal performance in so many ways."
Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland said of their upcoming project, "Profound Mysteries II is a direct continuation of the first instalment. Reoccurring themes such as love & loss, despair & reconciliation, is wrapped up in an esoteric nod to those artists and genres that shaped us in our formative years."
Profound Mysteries II will also feature collaborations with Astrid S, Susanne Sundför and Pixx.
