Royce Wood Junior announces debut album The Ashen Tang
Royce Wood Junior has detailed his debut record The Ashen Tang, and is streaming the lead single "Midnight".
The single's a slick 'n' trippy cavalcade of smooth; squelchy synths and "212"-esque beats waltz amongst strings, choral harmonies and Junior's signature croon.
Speaking about the record, Wood says:
"I wanted this record to be a classic songwriter’s album but presented with as broad a production pallet as possible. It’s a document of the bittersweet reality of being alive in the 2010s, and hopefully it evokes life’s failures and successes with all the embarrassment and humour that an Englishman can muster. All of the ashes and all of the tangs."
The Ashen Tang is set for release 11 May via 37 Adventures. It follows Wood's lauded EP Tonight Matthew.
