Rough Trade unveil Albums of the Year list for 2013
UK Independent music store, Rough Trade have revealed a list of their Top 100 favourite albums of the year, with John Grant taking top spot.
Grant heads the list with his recent LP, Pale Green Ghosts, while Savages finish as runners-up. The likes of Jon Hopkins, Parquet Courts and Dan Avery are elsewhere in the Top 10, while My Bloody Valentine, Factory Floor, Nick Cave and more feature in the Top 20.
Rough Trade state that releases from the twelve months between late 2012 and late 2013 are included in the list. Also worth mentioning is that Sonic Youth side-ventures, Chelsea Light Moving and Body/Head get joint 49th position, while Four Tet is a honorable mention at number 101.
