Robyn & La Bagatelle Magique unveil debut track together "Love Is Free"
Robyn & La Bagatelle Magique (Robyn, Markus Jägerstedt, and the late Christian Falk) have shared their debut track, "Love Is Free (ft. Maluca)".
The track, a "love letter to early '90s house music" sees Mad Decent affiliate Maluca contribute guest vox. It's a distinctly clubbier turn, veering away from pop, but it's no less addictive, with the Swedish pop icon's distinct vocals penetrating a thick melange of skewed electronics. It's a 'banger', for sure.
As Annie Mac stated, it's been about half a decade since Robyn released a solo album - while this isn't solo material, it's still new Robyn.
The mini-album ("five or six songs", finished this winter, was started with Falk three years ago, and Robyn worked with Markus to finish the album. It's due out "really soon... sometime during the summer."
