The first trailer for Sound of Metal has been released, and sees Riz Ahmed play a metal drummer who suffers from hearing loss.
Musician and actor Riz Ahmed will see his two worlds collide in the Darius Marder-directed film Sound of Metal, which will see him play a heavy metal drummer as he begins to lose his hearing.
Ahmed will star alongside Ready Player One's Olivia Cooke in the film.
IndieWire reports that Ahmed prepared for his role by learning American Sign Language and how to play drums over a six month period.
Back in March Ahmed released his The Long Goodbye film and album.
Sound of Metal will be available to watch on Amazon Prime from 4 December.
