Rihanna and Childish Gambino's Guava Island could be a visual album
It looks like Rihanna and Childish Gambino's forthcoming Guava Island movie might actually be a visual album.
Donald Glover and Rihanna were spotted in Cuba last August and Cuban magazine Vistar hinted that the pair were in Cuba to film a new movie called Guava Island.
In November 2018 a trailer was aired at Glover’s curated Pharos festival in New Zealand.
According to Crack and NME, cinematographer Christian Sprenger - who has worked with Glover and director Hiro Murai on Atlanta - listed the forthcoming Guava Island project as a "visual album" on his resume via his Artistry profile. The listing has since been removed, but only after Crack reached out to Sprenger for comment.
Earlier this year The-Dream said Rihanna's new album was "super close" to being finished.
Gambino released new music last year, including the Hiro Murai-directed "This Is America", and his Summertime Pack double single. In December 2018 he featured on 21 Savage's i am > i was album track "monster".
