Riff Raff says he's suing Spring Breakers film makers for “$8-10 million”
Ever a man to talk the talk, rapper Riff Raff has told celeb gossip website TMZ that he plans to sue the makers of recent movie Spring Breakers for identity theft.
“It’s like if I have a front yard and you’re planting soil and you’re planting trees and building peaches and houses and selling parking lots on my property then I deserve to be compensated for some portion of that money”, the hip-hop personality told reporters in a rather ill thought-out analogy.
Riff Raff has long claimed that James Franco’s character of ‘Alien’ in the film was a rip-off of his rap persona, right down to the tattoos, bling and catchphrases, even going as far as seeking revenge by cameoing in a U.S soap opera as a character influenced by Franco himself.
Now that doesn’t seem enough, with Riff Raff saying he wants around “$8-10 million” as compensation for jacking his image. Watch the TMZ video beneath:
Even though Riff Raff deliver these claims in the video above in deadpan, he is more than likely joking, as he’s well-known to be friends with the film’s director, Harmony Korine, pictured together in the photo below:
