Rick Rubin to release debut book The Creative Act: A Way of Being
Legendary producer and Def Jam Recordings co-founder Rick Rubin has announced his debut book The Creative Act: A Way of Being.
As The Guardian reports, Rubin's debut book, The Creative Act: A Way of Being, is a non-fiction book, and is set to be published early next year.
Rubin said, "I set out to write a book about what to do to make a great work of art. Instead, it revealed itself to be a book on how to be."
UK publishers Canongate revealed the book will cover "the principles of creativity for creators of all kinds, including people in their everyday lives," as well as "revelatory insight into the mysterious process of making stuff great."
Last week it was revealed Red Hot Chili Peppers had resumed their three-decade working relationship with Rubin for their upcoming album Unlimited Love.
