REM announce collected 7" singles
REM are not reforming the band, but are reforming another collection of past tracks.
The band which broke up in 2011 are returning to our ears with this latest mini-'best of' release. There seem to be no plans to reform or for Michael Stipe to release material as a solo artist, so REM fans may have to be satisfied with this type of special historical reprise.
This set of 7" singles will arrive as a boxset with reproductions of the original artwork. Some of the tracks will be of special interest to American fans as they are as yet unreleased in the US.
Opening with "Radio Free Europe" from 1983, 7IN-83-88, charts the Atlantans' earliest work. It concludes with "Finest Work Song" from 1988 with popular favourites like ""It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)"" also making an appearance.
It is available from 8 December and the tracklisting is as follows:
1. 'Radio Free Europe'/'There She Goes Again'
2. 'So. Central Rain (I'm Sorry)'/'King of the Road'
'3. (Don’t Go Back To) Rockville'/'Catapult' (Live)
4. 'Can’t Get There From Here'/'Bandwagon'
5. 'Driver 8'/'Crazy'
6. 'Wendell G'/'Crazy' + 'Ages of You'/'Burning Down'
7. 'Fall On Me'/'Rotary Ten'
8. 'Superman'/'White Tornado'
9. 'The One I Love'/'Maps and Legends' (Live)
10. 'Its The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)'/'Last Date'
