Record your own vinyl at Jack White's Third Man store this weekend
Jack White, this year’s Record Store Day ‘Ambassador’, is allowing you (well, anybody in the Nashville area) to record your own vinyl at his very own Third Man Records store this Saturday (20 April).
This weekend marks the 2013 leg for international Record Store Day, with White offering customers the chance to use the 1949 Voice-o-Graph booth to record their own record and “maybe even mail it to someone they love”.
The machine records two minutes of audio onto a 6″ phonograph disc and will be the only one of its kind that’s both working and open to the public this Saturday.
Better yet, there’ll be special envelopes and Third Man stamps for those so inclined. Watch a clip about the booth below:
