Record Store Day releases for sale on Ebay before the day even begins

Even before the day has begun, some Ebay users are trying to flog off Record Store Day‘s exclusive releases.
Record Store Day is held worldwide tomorrow (20 April) at numerous independent outlets across the globe, with special offerings, rare releases and reissues available, limited in number and sold solely on the day. The venture was set up to promote the sales of physical music as well as the plight of independent stores.
As one Twitter user pointed out, David Bowie’s ‘Drive-In Saturday’ picture disc reissue is already on the online market, currently at £22 with 8 bids made. There’s also more shady-looking auctions for Elliott Smith’s outtakes album and White Stripes’ Eliphant re-release.
Both the international and the UK heads of Record Store Day have responded via social media about the Bowie sale, writing:
@phil_daniels Because sadly, some people suck and will cheat and lie to make $$$. If we find stores behind these they are done. @rsduk
