Raury announces Village Underground show, slips out "Devil's Whisper"
Raury has unveiled a new cut titled "Devil's Whisper", a response to early hit "God's Whisper", and confirmed a new London show for next month.
He'll play the Village Underground on 13 July ahead of festival slots at Lovebox and Longitude.
"God's Whisper" was released last year, his first track off debut EP Indigo Child, and we described it as "a pretty perfect debut". This new cut takes some of the standout moments and subverts them, adding a demonic twist; it's considerably more foreboding and dangerous sounding, but retains Raury's galvanising experimental gospel tendencies.
Talking about the track, he said: "I've seen the powers that be and how deeply rooted they are in the poisoning of my people. I see what we're up against... my God, I may have no idea what I'm doing."
Stream "Devil's Whisper" below, and then check out Raury's upcoming tour dates afterwards.
