Radiohead working on new album via email
Jonny Greenwood has discussed the progress of Radiohead’s next album, telling the Sunday Times that he’s been emailing tracks to Thom Yorke.
Greenwood revealed earlier this month that Radiohead planned to meet in September to begin work on their ninth studio album.
“I was emailing stuff to Thom last night,” Greenwood is quoted as saying. “But it’s not the same, is it? You don’t see [Yorke] tutting.”
In the interview, Greenwood also added that there is no scheduled due date for the album’s release, which will be the band’s first since The King of Limbs in 2011.
“Release? No, no idea. No,” Greenwood said. “Our plan is to start making music soon. We’ve just got to get the inertia back.”
