Radiohead's Ed O'Brien returns with vibrant EOB single "Shangri-La"
Ed O'Brien is back with a fresh EOB single, "Shangri-La", the opening track from his forthcoming album Earth.
"Shangri-La" arrives after last year's "Brasil", which will also feature on O'Brien's new album.
EOB's forthcoming album Earth was written and recorded over five years during the creation and touring of Radiohead’s A Moon Shaped Pool album.
The LP will feature production credits from Flood, Catherine Marks, Alan Moulder, and Adam ‘Cecil’ Bartlett, and includes contributions from bassist Nathan East, drummers Omar Hakim and Glenn Kotche, The Invisible’s David Okumu, Portishead’s Adrian Utley, and Laura Marling.
O'Brien says of his new album, "I wanted to make a record from the heart. I wanted to make something direct. I wanted to talk about love, your family in the immediate and the wider sense, where we are on the planet, the bigger picture, life and death. I wanted to make a big hearted, warm and colorful album… something hopeful and full of love."
