Radiohead update world on status of new album
Radiohead's ninth studio LP might be arriving sooner rather than later, with drummer Philip Selway providing an update, and new studio photos coming to light.
Selway spoke to the Press Association at a 6 Music Celebrates Libraries event last week, saying of the upcoming LP's progress: "We’ve got quite a busy autumn coming up. We want to finish a record and that’s where we’re at. We’re just launching ourselves into it… we’re back into it... being asked about Radiohead never becomes a tiresome question; the fact that people are still interested, that can only be a wonderful thing.”
The band's most recent album, The King Of Limbs, arrived in 2011.
Robert Ziegler, the composer/arranger who worked on that record with Radiohead, Tweeted a trio of new studio images over the weekend (before swiftly deleting them), showing the band working on something grand.
You can find the studio images below via Pitchfork. Last year, Radiohead's frontman Thom Yorke released a solo album.
