Radiohead release OK Computer sessions online after being hacked
Radiohead have released their entire OK Computer sessions catalogue after a bootlegger tried to sell the sessions for $150,000.
Last week, 18 minidiscs that make up the entire OK Computer sessions were leaked online, with a bootlegger reportedly demanding $150,000 for the entire project.
Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead has responded to the leak, revealing they "got hacked last week". Greenwood added, "Someone stole Thom's minidisk archive from around the time of OK Computer, and reportedly demanded $150,000 on threat of releasing it."
The Radiohead guitarist/keyboardist adds, "So instead of complaining - much - or ignoring it, we're releasing all 18 hours on Bandcamp in aid of Extinction Rebellion. Just for the next 18 days. So for £18 you can find out if we should have paid that ransom."
Closing his statement, Greenwood writes, "Never intended for public consumption (though some clips did reach the cassette in the OK Computer reissue) it's only tangentially interesting. And very, very long. Not a phone download. Rainy out, isn't it though?"

When it leaked last week, fans made a Google Doc listing the collection, which includes bedroom recordings, early studio versions, unreleased songs, early live/soundcheck versions, unmastered tracks, and more, one of which being an 11-minute version of "Paranoid Android".
Extinction Rebellion have thanked Radiohead for donating the proceeds for their OK Computer sessions to the movement.
Thank you so much to @JnnyG and @radiohead for supporting the rebellion so we can continue to build this powerful movement of non-violent civil disobedience.
