Radio 1 Rescores Drive: Bastille perform "The Driver" at exclusive Zane Lowe Q&A
Bastille today performed their track that features on BBC Radio 1 Rescores: Drive, curated by Zane Lowe.
At an exclusive event held at Central St Martins, London, the indie-pop quartet played new song "The Driver" alongside a scene from Drive in front of an audience.
Zane Lowe also spoke about the rescoring, which is the first time Radio 1 has embarked on such a project.
Answering a question on why Drive was the chosen film, Lowe said: "We love the film. We love the soundtrack. We didn't know what, if any, insurmountable hurdles would be in the way."
Bastille frontman Dan Smith, who also sat in on the Q&A, admitted the experience was "daunting".
"I'm a film geek and it was daunting but I'm sure everyone felt the same", he said.
Lowe shared more details after the Q&A, including how Banks was the only artist who wrote the music to no set scene.
BBC Radio 1 Rescores: Drive premieres on BBC 3 this Thursday at 10pm.
