Iconic illustrator Quentin Blake has discussed his work with James Blake in a new letter to BBC 6 Music DJ Mary Anne Hobbs.
Hobbs wrote to Quentin to "find out about his work on James’ new record", and she read out his reply on the air.
"There was a meeting between us," Quentin wrote. "I'm sort of a musical illiterate in that although I listen to music, I don't really know what's happening. Nevertheless, I can respond to atmosphere and James and I have, I think, some similar ideas about how the imagination works."
James Blake's new album The Colour In Anything is out now.
