Despite being pipped to the post in the UK by Disclosure’s recent debut, Queens of the Stone Age have nonetheless landed themselves their first ever No. 1 album Stateside with …Like Clockwork.
In doing so, the band have now ended Daft Punk’s two week reign at the top of the Billboard Top 200 chart, selling 12,000 vinyl LPs alone in their first week. It surpasses their previous highest charting album, which was Lullabies to Paralyze in 2005, peaking at No.5.
Queens of the Stone Age have recently announced a world tour with Matador label pals Savages. You can download …Like Clockwork from iTunes here.
