Q Magazine to cease publication after 34 years
Q Magazine has announced that this month's issue (landing 28 July) will be the publication's last.
The first issue of Q Magazine was released in 1986, and today (20 July), the music publication has announced that they will release their final magazine this month.
Editor Ted Kessler confirmed on Twitter that the coronavirus pandemic is the reason behind the publication closing, "The pandemic did for us and there was nothing more to it than that." He also shared a screenshot of his last editor's letter which will be featured in the final issue next week.
I have some bad news about @QMagazine. The issue that comes out on July 28 will be our last. The pandemic did for us and there was nothing more to it than that. I have attached our final cover and my editor’s letter for context.

In the editor's letter, Kessler writes, "We've been a lean operation for all of my tenure, employing a variety of ways to help keep our head above water in an extremely challenging print market. COVID-19 wiped all that out."
