PWR BTTM apparently think returning to Twitter is a good idea
PWR BTTM have made a return on Twitter, but it seems like a woefully misguided decision given the current climate in the music industry and the reasons for their departure earlier this year.
UPDATE: The tweet is gone, but there's no explanation. Maybe the original post was more of a total mistake than just a mistake of judgement?
Back in May, just days before the release of second album Pageant, the duo were essentially wiped off the Internet following allegations of sexual assault and antisemitism against member Ben Hopkins, with labels, management, PR representation, digital distributors, and more severing ties. Tours were yanked, music removed from sale, refunds offered - it seemed like a pretty definitive end.
The seemingly innocuous comeback has no words, let alone a mention of anything that happened earlier this year leading to their prolonged absence. Is it a hint at a comeback, or something else entirely?

PWR BTTM made a return behind the scenes over the summer, recruiting some new personnel to fight their corner - and apparently scoring some undeserved victories - so it seems like they're still planning on a career in music. In a statement a few months back the pair said: "We love playing music, we love sharing music with others, and we want nothing more than to be back performing together soon."
