PWR BTTM's music removed from iTunes, Youtube, Apple Music, Tidal, and more
PWR BTTM's music has been removed from streaming services and digital distributors in the wake of sexual assault and antisemitism allegations against member Ben Hopkins.
This is the latest in a series of repurcussions following the initial allegations and follow up investigation by Jezebel: the band's US label Polyvinyl and UK label Big Scary Monsters have both dropped them - they've lost their management, PR representation, touring members, support acts, festival slots, and world tour dates.
The allegations came to light just ahead of the release of second album Pageant - which was taken down from the Polyvinyl store and refunds offered to people who pre-ordered the LP. PWR BTTM's big album launch celebrations were axed as well.
None of PWR BTTM's music is available through Apple anymore - i.e. on Apple Music or iTunes - with Polyvinyl also pulling recently released album Pageant from Tidal, Google Play, and Amazon. Currently just one video remains on their YouTube page, although music can still be accessed through the Miscreant and Father/Daughter label accounts (the latter have also cut ties and is no longer selling merch or music).
Polyvinyl have also reportedly requested that Pageant is removed from Spotify (it remains at time of writing).
