Pussy Riot take aim at Russia's Prosecutor General in their new single/video
Russian punk band Pussy Riot have revealed their new single "CHAIKA", and its accompanying visuals.
It's almost exactly four years since the group took to Moscow's Cathedral Of Christ The Savior and performed the now-legendary "Punk Prayer".
This latest track is named after Yuri Chaika, Russia's current Prosecutor General.
Today, they're releasing their latest music video, "CHAIKA", named after Russia's current Prosecutor General, Yuri Chaika. As VICE note, "Chaika was in the international press recently, when anti-Putin activist Alexei Navalny posted a film he made online that alleges the family and business associates—most specifically the son—of Russia's Prosecutor General have direct ties to the Russian mob, and that Chaika himself is mired in corruption. The Kremlin has also passed multiple laws that increase their control over what content can be posted online, and that may even allow them to block outlets like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube."
