Pure Bathing Culture's new video for "Pray For Rain" tightrope walks between sexy and strange
Pure Bathing Culture have shared their saucy-slash-surreal visuals for latest single "Pray For Rain", taken from their upcoming LP of the same name.
Greg Hardes and Jacob Proud directed the clip, with the former saying: "We wanted to explore the idea of someone reaching for a sense of identity in a world they can't quite relate to. The lyrics, 'Are you cut in two, cut all the way through?', gave birth to the concept of Joe as a character and his unconventional relationship with both Jenna and himself."
The band's Sarah Versprille and Daniel Hindman added that "the video is about someone going wherever they need to go in order to get where they're going and sometimes this is about excess; you have be who you are and sometimes you need to chase the darkness. We're all related, it's all about our interactions. And we're doing this with each other all the time. Sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. Really, how can you not be cut in two if you really, honestly look inside yourself?"
Pray For Rain is out 23 October via Memphis Industries. It's the follow up to 2013 debut Moon Tides.
