Puddle Of Mudd's cover of Nirvana's "About A Girl" is quite something
Puddle Of Mudd's cover of Nirvana's "About A Girl" has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.
Back in the '90s, Nirvana played "About A Girl" during their MTV Unplugged session, and vocalist Kurt Cobain strained his voice in a controlled manner to hit the notes.
Kansas City rockers Puddle Of Mudd decided to take on the Nirvana classic during a session at SiriusXM, and lead singer Wes Scantlin tried to recreate Cobain's signature vocals, and has basically been ripped apart for the interesting attempt.
It's unclear if the band were having a bad day or if Scrantlin was just trying to release his pent-up aggression, but it's still fairly entertaining to watch.
The world of Twitter has also been enjoying the cover.

This is the face of a man who has royally fucked up, knows he has royally fucked up, and has no choice but to dig his heels in because he's being filmed. He looks like he just left a puddle of mudd in his pants. pic.twitter.com/73DwhBgDaf

I hadn’t watched the Puddle of Mudd Nirvana cover because I assumed “Oh it’s just people being music snobs, I’m sure it’s not that bad” but then I watched it and holy crap
