Protomartyr to re-release debut album No Passion All Technique
Protomartyr have announced they'll be reissuing their elusive debut album, No Passion All Technique.
No Passion All Technique was first released in 2012, and has been hard to obtain after it was removed from circulation, aside from copies being sold on Discogs.
Protomartyr will reissue the record as a deluxe edition, which will include bonus tracks "King Boots", "Bubba Helms", "Cartier E.G.s", and "Whatever Happened to the Saturn Boys?", which were originally recorded in the same sessions as their debut album.
To announce the release, Protomartyr have shared the official video for "Jumbo's".
Looking back at their debut record, vocalist Joe Casey says, "My memory is shot, but I appreciate now, looking back, how raw and off-the-cuff it was. There’s tons of mistakes in it and that wasn’t because we planned on it. We still can’t really admit that it’s as good as it is. You never want to say that your first is the best, but I’m happy that the first ended up not being terrible. It gave us doorway to what we’d want to do later."
Protomartyr's reissue of All Passion No Technique is their first release since last year's Consolation EP, their collaborative singles with Spray Paint, and their "Forbidden" single.
