Prince's Paisley Park Estate is now officially a public museum
Price's Paisley Park Estate has officially been declared a museum, reports the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
The 65,000 square foot Estate, located in Chanhassen, near Minneapolis in Minnesota, was forced to wait for a few bits of red tape to be snipped. Now that the local government have finally rezoned Paisley Park it can "permanently operate as a museum".
The museum reportedly expects up to 600,000 visitors per year, with tickets beginning at $38.50 ($100 for the VIP tour).
The plans for Prince's home to be converted into a museum were revealed over the summer, only months after his untimely passing.
Back in August Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, saod: "Opening Paisley Park is something that Prince always wanted to do... only a few hundred people have had the rare opportunity to tour the estate during his lifetime. Now, fans from around the world will be able to experience Prince's world for the first time as we open the doors to this incredible place."
