Prince's home Paisley Park Estate set to open to the public
Prince's famous Paisley Park Estate home and studio in Minnesota is set to open to the public
The 65,000 square foot complex is located just outside of Minneapolis and will be open for daily tours from 6 October, as long as the city approves the plans (a hearing is due next month).
Tickets are set to cost $38.50 for a 70-minute guided tour, with VIP packages available for smaller groups.
Prince's sister, Tyka Nelson, says of the news: "Opening Paisley Park is something that Prince always wanted to do... only a few hundred people have had the rare opportunity to tour the estate during his lifetime. Now, fans from around the world will be able to experience Prince's world for the first time as we open the doors to this incredible place."
News of the home being opened to the public originally emerged in the days following Prince's death, and it seems that the trust company (who are overseeing his assets) have worked hard to make that a reality in the six months since.
Prince passed away suddenly earlier this April following an opioid overdose - recent developments suggest mislabelled fentanyl pills may have been something to do with the icon's death.
More information about Paisley Park can be found on the estate's website.
