Prince to release new album and 30th anniversary reissue of Purple Rain
30 years on from Purple Rain and Prince is as prolific as ever. So much so that he’s just inked a new licensing deal with Warner Bros.
As USA Today report, the new deal will allow Prince to reissue Purple Rain for a special digitally-remastered 30 year anniversary edition. As well as this, a new LP is said to be coming too.
“A brand-new studio album is on the way and both Warner Bros. Records and Eye are quite pleased with the results of the negotiations and look forward to a fruitful working relationship,” a press release reads.
The upcoming record is not yet titled but will be Prince’s first since 2010.
Meanwhile, Prince was recently over in the UK, playing a variety of shows across London.
