Prince sends Janelle Monáe a singing telegram

With the pair collaborating on a track from new album The Electric Lady recently, Prince decided to celebrate its LP release by sending Janelle Monáe a singing telegram to one of her shows.
Surprised backstage, Monáe recieved a hand-written song from Prince, with the musician altering the words to his classic ‘Kiss’. “You don’t have to be rich, to be Monáe,” the sent messenger sings. “You just need a copy of Janelle’s Electric Lady“.
Prince recently featured on Monáe’s track ’Givin Em What They Love’, with the record out now. Watch this moment at the 2 minute mark of the tour diary video beneath:
