Prince sends copyright complaints to Twitter 'Vine'
Having embraced the internet to increasing degrees in recent times, it seems that (the artist actually now known as) Prince has become likewise vigilant to copyright-encroaching material that’s out there on the web.
But instead of tackling peer-sharers, this time the musician has decided to target users of Twitter’s Vine app, the application that allows you to post six second video clips online.
The Next Web report that he’s sent numerous copyright complaints under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act for eight Vine videos that contain ”unauthorized records” and “unauthorized synchronizations”. The same article states that the clips have now been removed by Twitter after the request.
Prince is expected to release a new album later this year.
