Priests announce second record with lead track "The Seduction of Kansas"
Washington D.C. post-punks Priests are back with news of their sophomore album The Seduction of Kansas, and have shared the title track as the first taster of their new record.
Punk trio Priests are back with "The Seduction of Kansas", the title track of their second album, and first release since their 2017 debut record Nothing Feels Natural, and the Early Recordings release. Drummer Daniele Daniele expands, "There’s something sinister about the idea of seducing a whole state."
Priests recruited multi-instrumentalist Janel Leppin to play bass and help with songwriting having played cello, mellotron, and lap steel on their debut record. The band also used producer John Congleton (Angel Olsen, St. Vincent), and recorded the album across two weeks at his Elmwood Studio in Dallas, Texas. The last piece of their puzzle was completed by bassist Alexandra Tyson, who has also joined their touring band.
