[Premiere] Watch: Battlekat – He Didn’t Want A Love Song (Dreamtrak Diamond Sound Remix)
A self-confessed Nordic enthusiast, Dreamtrak Diamond Sound man Oliver Horton has revealed his second Battlekat remix in under a month. The swirling avant-garde electro pop of the Danish outfit builds with a subtle urgency as hollow bass thuds twist around crisp percussion until a dreamy synth line carries you off into the bizarre world of Garry Sykes’ video. Filmed like an old science fiction movie the footage features dinosaurs, spacemen, aliens and mysterious women filtered through a perfectly vintage lens.
Having only revealed their identities back in May this year after starting out as Just a number 05272011, Battlekat will be heading over to our shores in October for their first ever UK date at this year’s SWN Festival, on TLOBF’s very own stage. And if you think we are excited about that now just wait until nearer the time!
