Chillwave is dead, obviously. It was hamstrung by two major flaws: its extraordinary self-absorption, and its lack of a decent tune.
Stockholm’s Niva is addressing both of these problems with an EP full of pretty, open-hearted, melodic earworms. ‘Boy From The Sun’ is the first track from the Feverish Dreams EP, which is out on Something In Construction. Slow-motion-trampoline-a-go-go.
