Powell shares explosive new video for “Sylvester Stallone”
London-based producer Powell makes jagged and textured electronic music. The video for “Sylvester Stallone”, which was recently released as part of a two-track compilation on XL Recordings, is suitably surreal.
An unwitting subject is seated in front of a television in a dark room, while images flash relentlessly across the screen. The subject grows more and more uneasy, and his veins begin to bulge and rupture as the song ups its intensity. An explosive ending seems only fitting.
Sylvester Stallone/Smut is available now. You can catch a DJ set by Powell at London’s Dance Tunnel on 26 March. He’ll also be making a handful of European festival appearances this summer.
