The stop-gap between the second and third album from Bristol trip-hoppers Portishead was 11 years. Now, six years after that last LP, the band have hinted that they’re working on a follow-up.
Speaking at a Q&A session hosted by The Quietus during Norway’s By:Larm Festival earlier today, member Adrian Utley revealed: “We’re clearing our schedules so we can get on with it, otherwise it will be another ten years”. The Guardian also report that he continued to describe the band as “really enthusiastic” about the new material and that “enthusiasm counts for a lot in Portishead world”.
More news on this as we have it.
