If you answered an on-line advert to be in a Country music video, the chances are you wouldn’t expect what went down at POP Montreal’s offices on Parc late last month.
Country in name but not in nature, the duo is made up of David Whitten and the shy and retiring Beaver Sheppard, who describe their music as “My Bloody Valentine mixed with Dance Dance Revolution”. As you can see in the video mirrors, mannequins and missing trousers were the order of the day as Country performed ‘Money For Cancer’ from last years album Failure.
The POP Montreal team describe Sheppard as “The Best Montreal Character”. As well as a reputation for multiple costume changes and wild performances he also happens to be owner of restaurant/hang out Bethlehem XXX. He’s even appeared on German National Television as a vocalist for Brandt Brauer Frick.
The session was recorded and Mastered by LANDR.
