POP Montreal Present POP Shots Episode 2: Little Scream
This month Little Scream will be heading out on the road in North America in support of Sufjan Stevens. Before that though, she descended on POP Montreal’s offices with a choir including Molly Sweeney and Leif Vollebekk, and a band featuring producer Marcus Paquin well as Laurie Torres of Folly and The Hunter and Ari Swann.
Amid snowy-looking stalactites and dream-like, hazy projections, 'Silent Moon' is our first glimpse of new material destined for Little Scream's forthcoming record Dance In A Void, which has been produced by Richard Reed Parry and features contributions from Bryce and Aaron Dessner, Sharon Van Etten and Sufjan Stevens.
Although the track itself is a thing of glacial beauty, the smoke machines used during the shoot set off the fire-alarms, resulting in the visit of three trucks full of Montreal's firebrigade paying the shoot a visit.
POP Shots episode 3 will be shooting in Montreal on April 15th. If you would like to be in the audience email audience@popmontreal.com for further details.
