Pixx cures all the hangovers at End Of The Road
Hotly tipped electro-pop artist Pixx shook several hundred End of the Road Festival punters out of their craft beer hangovers with a commanding midday performance at the Big Top.
Having toured with Daughter last year, it's easy to strike parallels between the two - especially during her more downtempo moments - but Hannah Rodgers, dressed like a revolutionary cadre circa 1967, has a distinct pop sensibility more akin to Grimes.
Halfway through the set, her guitarist shouts out "you guys are fucking amazing!", and looking around the audience, one gets the impression the feeling's mutual. One suspects Pixx will be an artist we'll be seeing much higher up the lineup in the years to come.
