Following some rather scathing reviews of their recent comeback album Indie Cindy, Pixies has confirmed they are likely to record another full-length in the near future.
Indie Cindy is the band’s first album for 23 years, released last month. Responding to such critical ambivalence, guitarist Joey Santiago told BBC 6 Music earlier today that the band intend to prove certain critics wrong with a follow-up.
Santiago also continued to rule out any possibility of a double album. “That’s always the sign of the nail in the coffin for a band,” he added.
Indie Cindy follows on from 1991’s Trompe le Monde. Read our Best Fit review of the LP here.
