Pixies stream "jubilant" new record Head Carrier in full
Pixies are streaming their new record Head Carrier in its entirety over a week before it hits the shelves.
In our recent interview with guitarist Joey Santiago we were told: "There are dark moments on the album, but it does sound jubilant – like joy. It doesn't sound like a pop record though! I think the most important thing was that our personalities really shine through on Head Carrier."
As well as a newfound sense of joy, Santiago told us that "it's just about embracing the damn past."
Pixies have already shared "Talent", "Tenement Song", and "Um Chagga Lagga" from the follow up to 2014's Indie Cindy.
Head Carrier is released 30 September via Pixiesmusic/Play It Again Sam.
