Pixie Geldof ups the darkness on glamorous country-pop tune "Sweet Thing"
Pixie Geldof has shared new Southern Gothic number "Sweet Thing" ahead of debut record I'm Yours.
This track follows AA-side "So Strong"/"Escape Route", which arrived earlier this year.
"'Sweet Thing' is one of the older songs on the record," says Geldof. "It’s actually the first song I wrote after I signed with Stranger. I wanted something that channelled the country music I grew up listening to, something with a real stomp, and be a song you can wake up to. As soon as I heard it in the studio, with those drums, I knew it would be the opening track of the album."
I'm Yours is released 4 November via Stranger Records. Pre-order on iTunes or Amazon Music.
Back in July we recorded Geldof's first-ever live session - watch her perform "So Strong" now.
