PinkPantheress, Baby Queen and Enny make BBC Sound of 2022 longlist
The BBC Sound of 2022 nominees have been announced, and PinkPantheress, Baby Queen and Enny are among the eight women nominated in the list of 10 names.
The BBC Sound of 2022 nominations list is dominated by women, who make up eight out of the 10 names. Among those women are PinkPantheress, Baby Queen, Enny, Tems, Mimi Webb, Wet Leg, Priya Ragu and Lola Young.
Central Cee and Yard Act make up the two other spaces on the BBC Sound of 2022 longlist.
The 10 names were chosen by a panel of 133 industry experts, including artists such as Elton John, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Jorja Smith and Foals.
Back in January Pa Salieu was announced as the BBC Sound of 2021 winner. He was nominated alongside Holly Humberstone, Berwyn, Greentea Peng and Griff.
