P!nk says she's "happy to pay" fine for Norwegian female handball team after they wear shorts
P!nk has revealed on Twitter that she's "happy to pay" the fine handed to the Norwegian female handball team's fine after they chose to wear shorts instead of bikini bottoms at the European Beach Handball Championships.
Last week Norway's female handball team played against Spain at the European Beach Handball Championship, and competed in shorts instead of bikini bottoms, which resulted in the team being handed a fine by the European Handball Federation (EHF).
The fine, which amounts to 1,500 euros (£1,295), was given to the Norwegian team for "improper clothing", and now P!nk has offered to pay the fine, writing that she's "VERY proud" of them for protesting against the uniform.
P!nk's tweet read: "I’m VERY proud of the Norwegian female beach handball team FOR PROTESTING THE VERY SEXIST RULES ABOUT THEIR “uniform”. The European handball federation SHOULD BE FINED FOR SEXISM. Good on ya, ladies. I’ll be happy to pay your fines for you. Keep it up."
