Pink Floyd have announced details of new album The Endless River
Iconic psychedelic legends Pink Floyd are to release a new album. It will be their first album of new music since 1994's The Division Bell.
The record will comprise "mainly ambient and instrumental music" from sessions conducted during the recording for that previous LP. In a statement on their website, the band pay tribute to Richard Wright, dedicating The Endless River to the band's influential keyboardist who passed away 2008:
"'The Endless River' is a tribute to Rick Wright, whose keyboards are at the heart of the Pink Floyd sound. It is a mainly instrumental album with one song, ‘Louder Than Words’, (with new lyrics by Polly Samson), arranged across four sides and produced by David Gilmour, Phil Manzanera, Youth and Andy Jackson."
