Phoenix upload heartfelt message after passing of collaborator Philippe Zdar
Phoenix have shared some words on the passing of Cassius' Philippe Zdar, who collaborated with the French group on their Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix record.
Zdar passed away earlier this month after falling from a building in Paris.
The Cassius musician co-produced Phoenix's Wolfgang Aradeus Phoenix record from 2009.
Sharing some words about their late collaborator via Instagram, Phoenix wrote, "Philippe was legendary. Of course, our music owes so much to him, he who spent hundreds and hundreds of hours lifting us up with the breath of his talent, his enthusiasm and his kindness. But much more, he taught us that you could raise your life, Friendship, Love to the rank of major art. In all these areas he was an absolute genius."
