Phoebe Waller-Bridge reveals Stats' "Lose It" is in her "heart as the Fleabag anthem"
Phoebe Waller-Bridge has revealed that her Fleabag anthem of choice is Stats' "Lose It".
"Lose It" was released by Stats in January. The band lineup includes Waller-Bridge's sister Iso Waller-Bridge as a singer and keyboardist.
Speaking to Lauren Laverne on her BBC 6 Music show this morning (4 December), the Fleabag creator said, "Stats is a band my sister plays in, and it’s run by [singer] Ed Seed and that song ["Lose It"], when I first heard it, I felt this real connection to it."
Waller-Bridge added, "I was editing Fleabag at the time and I was desperate to get it into Fleabag, as was my sister and we worked with Ed on it. In the end we couldn’t do it, because the song is so joyful and the show at that time was sad."
Discussing the importance of the song to her and Fleabag, Waller-Bridge said, "But I carry it in my heart as the Fleabag anthem and it’s very special to me."
