Phoebe Bridgers reacts to Jensen McRae's "preemptive cover" of her Punisher follow up opening track
Phoebe Bridgers has reacted to Jensen McRae's impressive prediction of what Bridgers' third album opening track will sound like.
Last Friday (15 January) musician Jensen McRae uploaded a video of her singing a predicted song of what Phoebe Bridgers' next album opener might sound like.
McRae wrote, "In 2023 Phoebe Bridgers is gonna drop her third album & the opening track will be about hooking up in the car while waiting in line to get vaccinated at dodger stadium and it’s gonna make me cry."
In a second tweet with the 52-second video, McRae wrote, "this is my preemptive cover of what I imagine it will sound like."
McRae's "preemptive cover" sees her replicate Bridgers' vocal delivery, while singing, "Traffic from the East Side’s got me aggravated / Hotter than the day my brother graduated / Wait four hours in the sun / In line at Dodger Stadium / I’m not scared of dogs or getting vaccinated."

The clip has been seen over two million times since McRae uploaded it last week, and even got a mention from Bridgers herself, who reposted the video and wrote, "oh my god."
