Phoebe Bridgers, Jeff Tweedy, Empress Of and more sign up for new livestream subscription service
Phoebe Bridgers, Jeff Tweedy and Empress Of are among the artists that have signed up to take part in a new livestream subscription service called Bandsintown Plus.
As Stereogum notes, Bandsintown Plus has been launched in response to the coronavirus pandemic putting a delay on the return of live music.
While gigs can't take place with a full audience, Bandsintown Plus aims to bring those live shows straight to people's screens at home.
Bandsintown Plus is a subscription service that costs $9.99 per month. The livestream subscription service aims to provide access to more than 25 livestreams per month. The company will produce the livestream shows themselves, and are offering a week-long free trial to new customers.
So far Bandsintown Plus has confirmed its livestream lineup for January and February. Jeff Tweedy of Wilco is planning a full band performance and Q+A, while Big Thief's Adrianne Lenker will perform her first solo livestream on the platform.
Other artists confirmed to be performing livestream shows on Bandsintown Plus so far include Phoebe Bridgers, Empress Of, Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold, Waxahatchee, Flying Lotus, Soccer Mommy, Lomelda, Hundred Waters' Nicole Miglis, Omar Apollo, Little Dragon, Chromeo, Local Natives, as well as a DJ set from Toro Y Moi.
