Phoebe Bridgers covers Tom Waits' "Day After Tomorrow" for annual Christmas charity release
Phoebe Bridgers' annual Christmas charity cover is here, and sees her cover Tom Waits' 2004 song "Day After Tomorrow".
Bridgers' 2021 Christmas cover is of Tom Waits' "Day After Tomorrow", and will see all proceeds from sales of the song donated to The International Institute of Los Angeles.
The cover, produced by Bridgers, Tony Berg and Ethan Gruska, also features contributions from Harrison Whitford, Marshall Vore, Rob Moose and Will Maclellan, and a choir made up of Z Berg, Kaitlyn Dever, Mady Dever, Gruska, Emily Kohavi, Blake Mills, Marcus Mumford, Annie Stela and Whitford.
In previous years, Bridgers has teamed up with Jackson Browne to record a version of McCarthy Trenching’s "Christmas Song", covered "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", recruited Fiona Apple and The National's Matt Berninger to deliver an updated version of Simon & Garfunkel's "7 O'Clock News / Silent Night", and more.
Earlier this month Bridgers made an appearance on Taylor Swift's Red (Taylor's Version) from the vault song "Nothing New".
